Commercial lender hires four senior managers


A British bank, located in Peterborough, has announced the appointment of four new members to fortify its commercial mortgage lending team.  


These senior appointments within Aldermore consist of two new commercial mortgage managers, and two new lending managers. The new employees are Stephen Taylor, Darren Beard, Simon Prince, and Darren Switzer, all of whom have significant experience within the commercial lending field.

Stephen Taylor has been selected by Aldermore as commercial mortgage manager, and is responsible for underwriting and processing commercial mortgage applications. He has previously held senior underwriting positions at NatWest and Bradford & Bingley, in addition to managing the mortgage packaging department of Exclusive Connections.


Darren Beard joins Aldermore as a commercial mortgage manager after working at Santander for nine years as a mortgage sales development consultant.


Simon Prince has been appointed as Aldermore’s new lending manager, and will work mainly in London and the South of England. Prince has previously worked for Landesbank Berlin, Bradford and Bingley Property Finance, National Australia Bank as well as Hypo Real Estate.

Darren Switzer has also been assigned the role of lending manager, focusing on commercial mortgages in the North West of England. His banking experience stretches across 25 years, predominantly in commercial lending at Barclays, and then specialising in property at Nationwide.
