Amicus Finance PLC enters administration

Amicus Finance PLC has entered administration following news last month that it had failed to work out a deal with a suitable investor that was set to fund the business going forward.

On 20th December 2018, Mark Robert Fry, Jamie Taylor and Kirstie Jane Provan were appointed joint administrators of Amicus Finance PLC.

According to Amicus Finance PLC’s website, for customer and borrower enquiries, please contact 020 3540 5120.

A statement from the administrators, Begbies Traynor, confirmed that Amicus Property Finance and Amicus Commercial Mortgages, being part of Amicus Finance PLC, were in administration.

“While discussions are in progress regarding the future of the brand, the offices in London will continue to carry out current work.

“We cannot make any further comment at this time.”

A separate statement made by Amicus Finance PLC on LinkedIn read: “We would like to take the opportunity to thank our staff, customers and friends for their support, hard work and dedication over the past 12 months.

“In what has been a difficult last few weeks, the people of Amicus have remained professional, committed and have pulled together to support each other and look forward.

“They are an amazing group of people.”

Last month, B&C reported that after just under four years in the ownership of Amicus Finance PLC, Amicus Asset Finance Group Limited – formerly Norton Folgate Capital Group Limited – entered back into private ownership and was business as usual.
