RateSetter attracts over 75,000 investors

RateSetter has announced that over 75,000 investors have put money into its platform.

Since its launch in 2010, investors have earned £120m through the P2P lending platform at an average interest rate of 4.4% per year.

RateSetter currently has £830m of investment under management, including £170m invested through its Isa.

More than 600,000 customers have now used the P2P lending platform to invest or borrow.

Mario Lupori, chief investments officer at RateSetter (pictured above), said: “We are making real headway in opening lending as an investment that everyone can access.

“Every day, more investors are discovering that they can access attractive and predictable returns at RateSetter, filling the gap between the low returns of cash savings and the volatility of shares.

“We are starting to see P2P investments go mainstream.”
