Glenhawk originates almost £60m of enquiries in January

Glenhawk has announced that it has originated almost £60m of enquiries in January.

The specialist property lender is aiming to reach £100m of new lending in 2019 as it launches products for the homeowner and occupier market.

Glenhawk — which launched in January 2018 — lent £40m in its first year, with zero defaults, and secured a £75m funding line from two major institutional investors: Shawbrook Bank and Insight Investment.

“One year on from launch, we are primed to build on the achievements of 2018,” said Guy Harrington, CEO at Glenhawk (pictured above).

“This year has started well and with the profile of those looking to access the real estate debt finance market continually evolving, combined with the strangling effect that wider macro uncertainty is having on the more traditional sources of funding, we are ideally placed to both significantly grow our existing offering, while successfully expanding our product range.

“These growth ambitions have seen us apply to become an FCA-regulated lender later this year.”

Last week, Glenhawk appointed Amy Wareham as a junior underwriter.
