In her new role, Maria will promote the bridging lender’s services and, as the company grows, look for further high-quality business development managers to expand its network.
Maria joins the company from Fiduciam, where she was a business development manager.
Prior to that, she held similar positions at Hope Capital, Borro and Dragonfly Property Finance.
“This is the opportunity which I have been craving,” said Maria.

“[I] aim to be an integral part of the success of growing the business over the next [few] years, which I am sure will grow into a substantial-sized loan book.”
ActivTrades Plc — which is an established CFD brokerage — entered the bridging and property lending space in 2018, and has since successfully established an active, self-funded loan book of residential, commercial and development loans.
The bridging lender is currently looking to double the size of its existing loan book by the end of 2020.
Stephen Brennan, managing director at ActivTrades, added that he was delighted to welcome Maria to the company.
“Myself and Maria worked together in previous companies and, together, have a wealth of industry experience.
“It has always been our intention at ActivTrades to select the best industry professionals and to have a sustainable growth trajectory, which is now being amplified by key appointments.
“Maria is tasked with doubling the loan book this year, but will be amply supported by our head office team.”
