Acuitus launches 30-lot July catalogue for online commercial property auction




Acuitus has launched a 30-lot catalogue for its live-streamed commercial property auction on 9th July 2020..

It has also announced plans to hold an additional autumn auction to give sellers and buyers enhanced access to the marketplace.

Richard Auterac, chairman at Acuitus, commented: “Even though the overall social and economic situation remains fluid, we have already seen sustained investor demand at our May auction, and we want to ensure that our selling and buying clients have the best opportunities to access the marketplace when they need.

“For this reason, we shall hold an additional live-streamed auction on September 23rd [2020] and, additionally, have available single-lot online auctions for clients who want a bespoke and flexible sales route which is immediate and has comprehensive market reach.


“Subject to government guidance and the wishes of our clients, we are also looking to return to room auctions as soon as is possible and prudent.”

The lots for July include a major freehold city-centre development opportunity in Salisbury (pictured above), which has planning permission for 66 flats.

The property comprises a 40,236 sq ft vacant office with 40 car parking spaces on a 1.15-acre site. 

It is being sold with vacant possession and a guide price of £3m-3.1m.

Another lot in the July sale is 255 Chiswick High Road, London, a well-located shop with two self-contained flats let on ASTs, with a guide price of £1.5m-plus.

Other lots include:

  • Southport Train Station car park in Merseyside that is let to NCP with approximately 2.65 acres and 419 car spaces, with a guide price of £1.7m-1.75m
  • 4/5 Oxford Street, Swansea, a prime retail investment let to River Island on a recently renewed lease, with a guide price of £875,000-900,000.

The auction will take place at 2pm and will be broadcast via livestream on the Acuitus website.

It will also provide remote bidding by telephone, online and proxy.
