The news comes as the specialist lender promotes Colin Anderson (pictured above) – who has been with Ortus for almost two years — to director and will be responsible for leading the company’s growth in Scotland.

In addition, Andy Thomson has joined from Santander — where he spent seven years working in corporate and commercial banking — as a credit manager.

Andy will support the Ortus team across the UK, however he will also work alongside Colin building its presence in the Scottish business community.

“Expanding the team and the opening of the Glasgow office is a huge statement by Ortus, and we look forward to moving in as soon as the restrictions allow,” said Colin.

“Being located in the city centre will really help us service and expand our introducer network in Scotland.

“The aim is to replicate the success that Ortus has seen throughout the rest of the UK and Northern Ireland.

“There are some great opportunities within the Scottish market and we intend to make the most of them.”

Andy commented that he was excited to have joined such an experienced and successful team at Ortus.

Jon Salisbury, managing director at Ortus Secured Finance, added that the lender had experienced strong growth even during lockdown, and was excited to open the new office.
