Medianett to host 'back to basics' bridging virtual roundtable with Masthaven

Medianett, publisher of Bridging & Commercial and Development Finance Today, is set to present its second live virtual roundtable, this time in partnership with Masthaven Bank.

The interactive event, which is part of a new series launched this year, will be held on 8th February at 11am and will be hosted by Medianett’s editor, Beth Fisher.

Masthaven Bank’s director of bridging, Alan Margolis, and sales director Richard Deacon will participate in an exciting and informative discussion with four broker panellists —Dave Ottley, managing director at Balance for Business; Aaron Noone, sales and operations director at Master Private Finance; Laura Toke, associate for short-term finance at SPF Private Clients; and Jo Logan, short-term lending and development finance specialist at Brightstar.

The topic is ‘Everything you've always wanted to know about bridging but were afraid to ask’, which will involve going back to basics and discussing the most popular questions bridging lenders receive, in a bid to dispel common industry myths.

Registration is open and it is free to attend for all professionals working in the sector.

The panel will be taking questions during the session and attendees are encouraged to get involved.

The event will also be available to watch after 8th February on B&C.

Ahead of the session, Richard said: “Bridging finance is still pretty much an unknown quantity to the wider broking community when it comes to specialist finance.

“I’m hoping this session will dispel some wide-ranging myths surrounding what can be a useful and sometimes vital tool in the introducer’s armoury.”

Alan added: “Communication and mutual understanding between lender and introducer is key to providing borrowers with the best possible bridging experience, so I am very excited to be participating in the virtual roundtable.

“It will provide a special opportunity to continue our quest to bring lenders and brokers closer,” he stated.

Aaron commented that he was delighted to be part of the Medianett roundtable.

“More than ever, our industry must reach out to help in advancing the understanding of bridging and its place within the lending toolkit of an adviser.

“If we can help others to learn and understand the place of specialist lending further, then we absolutely should; it is imperative we unite as an industry in a friendly and inclusive manner for all.”

Dave added: “I hope discussing this topic and sharing my knowledge helps businesses through the challenging and unprecedented times we face.”
