MS Lending Group appoints new manager

New bridging finance provider MS Lending Group has appointed Michael Street (pictured above) as its lending manager.

Michael joins the specialist lender from Together, where he worked for over three years, most recently as a national development manager.

He has experience in dealing with direct and broker clients and has supported over £70m-plus of transactions in the last three years, from capital raises to portfolio refinances.

In his new role, Michael will be responsible for managing, overseeing and approving new business enquiries.

“We are delighted to welcome Michael to the team at MS Lending Group,” said managing director, Michael Stratton.

“He has a vast amount of experience and his skills help truly encompass our core business values.

“We’re excited to have him as a member of the team in supporting our continuous growth.”

The lender launched in January offering unregulated bridging finance on residential and commercial properties and, by February, had already completed 10 deals worth around £1.5m.

In its first quarter of trading, MS Lending revealed that it had “far exceeded” where it expected to be, completing over 30 transactions totalling circa £6m.

Street added: “MS Lending has been extremely active since its inception in early January and, having seen first-hand how Stratton operates, I cannot wait to get going.

“I think there always has and always will be a need for very fast, short-term finance.

“With our simplified underwriting process consisting of decisions within the hour, no valuation up to £500,000 on residential property purchases, and completions in one week, we are best placed to fill a niche gap in the market for our customers.

“Every single application is reviewed by a real person who has the experience and autonomy to make real time decisions there and then.”
