Catalyst Property Finance
Catalyst has strengthened its credit team with two new appointments.
The specialist lender has hired credit analysts Dan Burden and Ugne Apynyte from Nationwide, with both reporting to head of credit, Matt Gillon.
In addition, its marketing director, Anna Bennett, has joined Catalyst full time, having previously supported the finance provider as a consultant since its inception in January 2017.
She will report to the lender’s CEO, Chris Fairfax, and is responsible for its brand, online and offline communication, marketing/PR strategy and big data.
“Both Dan and Ugne bring a wealth of mortgage underwriting experience to the team, having worked for Nationwide for several years,” said Matt.
“With business levels increasing month-on-month, their appointments will help us maintain great customer service and further drive our growth.”
Anna added: “I’ve worked as a consultant marketing director for some fantastic finance companies over the last 12 years; BLG, Positive Lending, Conduit Finance and Capital B.
“In 2017, I was invited to develop the Catalyst bridging brand with Chris. I have loved being a freelance consultant but, with Catalyst’s growth over the last four years, and plans for the future, I am super excited to jump in full time.

DF Capital
DF Capital has appointed Ian Martin as its industry leader of motorhomes and caravans.
Working alongside Corvin Baks, Ian will be responsible for developing the lender’s position in the leisure sector.
He joins from Blackhorse Finance, where he spent almost 33 years in senior sales management roles.
“I am thrilled to join DF Capital. It is an ambitious, driven company and an innovator in its field,” commented Ian.
“Working for an organisation that is relatively young and wants to expand is a massive draw, as is our strong commitment to customers and the industries they are in.
“Our personal touch makes us stand out in the market and I’m eager to get started.”
Andy Stafferton, chief commercial officer at DF Capital, stated that Ian’s leisure sector knowledge — both wholesale and retail — was impressive and the company was looking forward to harnessing his insight and network to further grow the business.
“Ian’s appointment further consolidates DF Capital’s desire to recruit the best people in the business in order to help provide more customers with crucial funding facilities and help them grow and prosper.”
