FP Show 2021

Specialist finance industry shares excitement for upcoming trade show in London

Registration for the Finance Professional Show (FP Show) 2021 is now open.

The FP Show will be held on 10th November in the West Level One Hall at Olympia Central in London between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

The one day event will showcase exhibitors offering a range of financial services from bridging and BTL through to asset and trade finance, and everything in between, and those already signed up include Shawbrook Bank, InterBay Commercial, YBS Commercial Mortgages, Glenhawk, Octane Capital and many more.

The show will open at 9.30am with complimentary breakfast networking, followed by the all-day conference programme, in association with Bridging & Commercial and Development Finance Today, which will kick off at 10.30am. A schedule of specialist masterclasses is also planned to take place throughout the day, in which visitors can gain product-specific knowledge and earn CPD points.

The sponsors for this year’s event include Together, Precise Mortgages, London Credit and Accredo Secured Business Finance.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required.

“It’s fantastic that we will once again be able to meet existing and new introducers from across the country face-to-face,” said Marc Goldberg, commercial CEO at Together.

“It’s really important to us that we continue to build those relationships which are key to our business, inform them about Together’s innovative products and help to plan for 2022 and beyond. We know from exhibiting previously that there’s no better place to do this than the FP Show.

“Our team can’t wait to join the industry’s leading lights at the event in November, which is bound to be a huge success.”

“As one of the UK’s most varied trade events, the FP Show is something I always look forward to,” commented Emily Machin, head of specialist finance at Precise Mortgages.

“It’s a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the industry, form new partnerships, and for our specialist finance team to showcase our lending solutions across Precise Mortgages and InterBay Commercial.”

Paresh Rajah, CEO at MFS, stated: “Adaptability, agility, pivoting — these have been buzzwords within the bridging sector over the past 18 months, with lenders having to find new ways of servicing clients and delivering loans.

“However, as lockdown rules are slowly lifted, there is a palpable sense of optimism across the industry, and one of the main reasons is that we can begin meeting people in person once again, at great events like the FP show.”

Marcus Dussard, sales director at Hampshire Trust Bank, said: “As one of the best organised and well attended trade shows for the specialist finance market, we are delighted to be making a return in 2021.

“It’s always a pleasure to bring the team and catch up with our broker friends and potential borrowers as — well as to hear what other experts have to say.

“The HTB team are itching to get back out and spend time with our key partners and so this year’s event will be one of the prime opportunities for us and the industry to get together and keep the positive momentum into 2022 and beyond.”

Mike Davies, senior business development manager at YBS Commercial Mortgages, noted that being able to attend an event in person is “long overdue” and has been notably missing from the industry.

“The FP Show promises to be a fantastic day and we’re looking forward to showcasing some of our latest propositions to help the commercial sector’s recovery.”

Charlotte Rutter, head of marketing at Roma Finance, added: “The virtual world has been a professional lifeline, but it does not replace human contact. I think the event this year will be very exciting and give the industry a chance to really collaborate and move forward.”

Dawn Trustam, managing director at The Bridging Group, believes this year’s show will be “an even bigger opportunity to reconnect, rebuild and just appreciate what great people we have in this sector”.

Dan Murray, head of sales at Octopus Real Estate, said the lender was pleased to be supporting the show again.

“It is an important event in the calendar for lenders, brokers and borrowers to come together to discuss industry trends, updates in products, and the changing needs of the industry.

“After the year we have had, we are really looking forward to reconnecting with the property community as the market continues to pick up pace to see how we can work together in the year to come.”

Jack Coombs, director at Aspen Bridging, commented: “We are excited, like everyone, at the prospect of seeing in person all the people we have been working with and other introducers we want to get to know at the expo, as opposed to just on Zoom or Teams.

“We also have exciting offering enhancements and improvements coming up we want to get out into the market.”

Mark Posniak, managing director at Octane Capital, stated that he and the rest of the team can’t wait to attend an IRL event.

“You get something from meeting people face-to-face that you never can on a video call — and what better environment to do it than the FP Show."

James Bloom, director at Alternative Bridging, commented that the industry has adapted “incredibly well” over the last year.

“We're in a position now where we can look forward with confidence and optimism, and the FP Show marks a great opportunity for the industry to get back together in real life, to strengthen existing relationships and forge new ones.

“It's these relationships that will enable brokers to take their business to the next level."

“The FP Show has always been one of the highlights of the year, and this year is going to be extra special,” added Martine Catton, chief commercial officer at Just Cashflow.

“No matter how well organised, virtual events, while great, can't replicate meeting in person at shows like this.”

Paul Munford, CEO at Century Capital, said: “2020 was turbulent for the entire industry. We are delighted to be getting back to normal and very much looking forward to seeing our colleagues again.

“We have also been big supporters of The FP Show for a number of years; it is opportunities like this that are a fantastic way to meet and network together.”

“Kuflink is looking forward to meeting up with friends and colleagues in what will be a perfect chance to get together in person and celebrate the best the short-term specialist market has to offer,” added Narinder Khattoare, CEO at Kuflink.

Kunal Vaitha, principle and co-founder of Reim Capital, said: “We are extremely excited to be attending the FP Show in person; this is a brilliant opportunity for us to continue building our brand and make new connections.”

Jonathan Newman, senior partner at Brightstone Law, highlighted the importance of relationships to the success of our market. “We've all endeavoured to maintain these remotely, but it's no substitute for getting together in real life, bouncing ideas of each other and working together to improve the way we do things."

Simon Chapman, lending director at Pluto Finance, agreed that the industry “thrives” on this sort of contact. “The FP Show is a very valuable event in the industry calendar and we look forward to seeing you there.”
