B&C and Ortus partner for roundtable on how real estate is performing in different UK regions

Bridging & Commercial will be hosting its next virtual roundtable on 20th July, in partnership with Ortus Secured Finance.

The interactive event, which is part of a series launched earlier this year, will focus on how the UK real estate market is performing across all sectors and what the key trends to watch are.

The roundtable will start at 11am and be moderated by Medianett’s editor, Beth Fisher.

Ortus Secured Finance’s managing director, Jon Salisbury, and associate director for lending, David Foster, will be joined by Jason Thompson, divisional director for professional services in Belfast at Savills; William Biggin, director of valuation and advisory services at Colliers; Andy Clark, director of valuation and advisory services at Colliers; and James Cunliffe, director of valuation at Strutt & Parker.

The panel — which covers expertise across London, Northern Ireland, Manchester and Glasgow — will discuss the factors underpinning the regional differences in house price growth, how this is affecting lending decisions, and whether differing policies towards the pandemic are hindering lenders’ ability to expand regionally.

They will also weigh in on how city centre real estate investment is evolving following the pandemic’s impact and what this market might witness if commuters don’t return after Covid.

Registration is open and free to attend by all professionals working in the sector.

The panel will be taking questions during the session and attendees are encouraged to get involved.

The event will also be available to watch after 20th July on B&C.

Commenting ahead of the event, Jon said: “We’re delighted to be joined by some of the most knowledgeable experts in the property sector with a diverse range of sector and geographical expertise, and we’re looking forward to hearing their take on the market — particularly how it has evolved over the last 15 months.”
