MSP Capital
MSP Capital has teamed up with Wellington King to buy and donate an automated external defibrillator (AED) for AFC Bournemouth’s charity, the Community Sports Trust.
The organisation’s aim is to provide peace of mind for participants and spectators at key trust events across Bournemouth, Poole, and neighbouring parts of Dorset, following Christian Eriksen’s collapse due to cardiac arrest at the Euro 2020 opening match between Denmark and Finland.
Because it is portable, the AED can be made available at events in all areas served by the trust.
The organisation has already trained its staff to use the donated machine and are looking to make another course available for new recruits in the coming months.
Adam Tovey, valuation director at MSP Capital, said: “If an elite sportsman, aged just 29 and continually monitored for fitness, can have a cardiac arrest, then anyone can.
“We sincerely hope the machine we have bought and donated will never be used, but this is about giving reassurance to people in our community.

“We want people who the Community Sports Trust work with to know they can have ready access to a defibrillator if they ever need it.”
Steve Cuss, head of Community Sports Trust at AFC Bournemouth, added: “We would like to thank both MSP Capital and Wellington King for their support in enabling us to purchase this vital piece of equipment.
“The AED forms part of our emergency aid equipment that we carry to our activities across the area, giving participants and staff the confidence and knowledge that the equipment is on hand, should it be needed.”
Formed in 2001, the Community Sports Trust stages a wide range of sporting events in partnership with businesses, schools, and community organisations.
As well as competitive matches, the trust’s 36 full-time staff provide coaching, teaching, and other activities focused on inclusion, with dedicated programmes for girls, women, disabled people, walking football players, and others.
More than 150 sessions are delivered each week, enabling engagement with 4,000 people aged from one to 101.
Belleveue Mortlakes
Belleveue Mortlakes has raised money for the Go Beyond charity as part of it 25th anniversary celebration.
As part of its mission, Go Beyond provides short holidays for children and young people who experience serious challenges in their lives, including abuse, bereavement, or poverty.
During its 25th birthday celebrations, Belleveue — which regularly donates to the charity — raised much-needed funds, as well as creating awareness across the property, banking and finance industry.
Enfield Southgate MP, Bambos Charalambous, who attended the event, commented: “I am immensely proud that a local, professional practice has not only become one of the UK’s leading private valuation practices, but has also contributed so much to the local community and charitable efforts over the last 25 years.”
Michael Yianni, managing director at Belleveue Mortlakes, stated: “We are very proud to have reached this landmark stage in the history of our practice.
“At the same time on our journey, we are delighted to have assisted numerous charities and will continue to do so.”
