HTB and Commercial Expert welcome new team members

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) and Commercial Expert have made new additions to their teams.

HTB has appointed Sally Wright as head of propositions for the specialist mortgages division.

She joins the bank from Vida Homeloans, where she most recently worked as head of field sales.

In her new role, Sally will work alongside newly appointed deputy managing director, Louisa Sedgwick, to support the specialist lender’s growth plans.

Commenting on her appointment, Sally said: “HTB have an excellent platform, an outstanding team and an amazing reputation in the industry [and] I’m itching to get stuck in and to be a key part of the continued success story.

“This is a great time to join a team that has such enthusiasm and determination to do more and better for the intermediary market.

“I have worked closely with Louisa for many years and I know that together we can achieve great things.”

Louisa added: “This is such an exciting time to be part of the HTB story, as we continue to grow and define new worlds to conquer.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to be able to bring Sally on board at this exciting stage in our development.

“Her expertise and experience will play a huge role in shaping our mortgage growth aspirations – more of which will become apparent soon.”

Commercial Expert

Commercial Expert has appointed Richard Booth as the brokerage’s appointed representative for Worcester.

In his new role, he will help businesses access a range of finances, secure funding and provide a full commercial finance service, backed up by a team of in-house business managers and administration.

“Commercial Expert is a company which strives for transparency through a hassle-free approach,” said Richard.

“[Joining] a company like this is great because I know its priorities are always with its clients, to which I align myself with.

“Becoming an appointed representative is ideal because it means I can ensure my clients receive the finance they require through a reliable and FCA regulated broker, and I get to work with a great team at Commercial Expert who are always on hand to give professional advice and support when needed.”

“I have acquired extensive knowledge across the years, and I can’t wait to be able to share this and offer advice to business owners about finance as they emerge from a tough 18 months.”

Richard is the third appointed representative to join Commercial Expert, joining James Gwynne, who has been with the firm three years and Ken Macrae, who joined 12 months ago.

His appointment comes at a successful time for Commercial Expert, which recently rebranded in line with its expansion and changing customer needs to create a better user experience for its prospective and current clients.

Michael Coates, managing director at Commercial Expert, hopes to continue its success and welcome a further ten appointed representatives over the next 24 months.

“As a company, we know the difficulties businesses can face when looking to secure finance, so we prioritise making the process quick and painless, leaving the client to focus on running their business,” Michael added.

“Bringing Richard on board as the appointed representative for Worcester is a brilliant move for us at Commercial Expert, as it means we can continue this mission within another region of the country and trust that our clients are receiving excellent service through a fantastic man.

“Richard has vast experience both financially and as a business owner, which means he knows exactly what our clients are looking for.

“This makes him an invaluable member of the team and we look forward to seeing him deliver for clients old and new.”
