Fleet, ARMCO, Lawrence Stephens and Strettons bolster teams




Fleet Mortgages, ARMCO, Lawrence Stephens and Strettons have made new additions to their teams.

Fleet Mortgages

Fleet Mortgages has appointed Dave Horsman as a senior BDM for central London.

Dave has over 20 years of experience working for lenders in this sector, having held BDM roles at various companies, including BM Solutions, Edeus, Virgin one and, most recently, Metro Bank.

Steve Cox, CCO at Fleet Mortgages, commented: “Anyone who has been active in the intermediary space for any length of time is likely to have worked with Dave, who brings with him a wealth of experience in this market and an excellent knowledge of intermediary firms in his region, and further afield.

ARMCO

ARMCO has appointed Richard Ford as a BDM, as the firm continues to expand its service portfolio.

Richard joins the property and finance services consultancy from Lloyds Banking Group, where he worked for over 30 years in various roles.

His experience lies primarily in owner-managed business support for firms in the trading space, such as manufacturing and engineering, and transport and logistics.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I’m excited to join ARMCO and put the skills I have gathered in more than 30 years in banking to great use, in a firm that offers a real breadth of services and targets a wide variety of sectors. 

“I’ve assisted countless businesses over the years with support such as international banking, raising working capital, mortgage loans and development loans. 

“I’m looking forward to supporting businesses who will benefit greatly from the array of specialist services the group has to offer.”

Lawrence Stephens

Lawrence Stephens has appointed Gareth Hughes as director of private wealth and succession planning.

Having worked in the industry for over 18 years, Gareth has specialist knowledge and expertise in acting to protect and preserve the wealth of private clients. 

He has experience in acting for UK and international high-net-worth individuals, advising on the preparation of complex wills, probate administration, tax and estate planning, trust creation and administration, as well as personal welfare matters that require applications to the Court of Protection and drafting lasting powers of attorney. 

Throughout his career, Gareth held roles at Silverman Sherliker LLP, Laytons LLP, Rollingsons Solicitors Limited, Bowling & Co Solicitors and, most recently, Greenwoods GRM LLP.

“I’m honoured to be joining Lawrence Stephens as director of private wealth and succession planning during a really exciting time of development and expansion for the firm,” said Gareth.

“I hope to utilise my specialist experience in wealth preservation to develop and enhance the offering of its already highly accomplished private wealth team.”

Strettons

Strettons has appointed Anthony Salata as a senior consultant to its receivership department.

Anthony brings with him a wealth of wealth of commercial real estate expertise in restructuring, dispute resolution and receiverships, specialising in enhancing commercial and residential property assets, as well as realising distressed portfolios.

Commenting on his appointment, Anthony said: "I have long been impressed by the capabilities and performance of Strettons in acting on behalf of its commercial and residential clients. 

“In a turbulent, post-pandemic market, particularly with the challenges faced by commercial and residential landlords, I'm looking forward to bringing my specialist expertise to the Strettons receivership team to complement the important work they are already doing throughout the UK."
