Brightstar celebrates 10th birthday and over £5bn of completions

The Brightstar Group is celebrating its 10th birthday this month, having worked with nearly 30,000 customers on 18,000 completions worth more than £5bn since its launch in 2011.

The company achieved its first £1bn of originated loans in 2015, which coincided with the launch of Sirius Property Finance, the group’s bespoke brokerage which focuses on financing for HNW residents and commercial real estate transactions.

In 2016, Brightstar achieved Investor in People Gold status and became a signatory for the Women in Finance Charter.

Over the years, the company has won over 120 industry awards, including the coveted B&C Awards’ regulated bridging broker of the year.

Rob Jupp, group CEO at The Brightstar Group (pictured above), said: “The last 10 years have certainly provided more than their fair share of twists and turns, but they have ultimately been a huge source of pride.

“When Brad [Moore, managing director at Brightstar], Kit [Thompson, director of short-term and development finance at Brightstar] and I opened the first office in Brentwood, we watched the phone waiting for it to ring, but once it started, it has barely stopped.

“Over the past decade, we have helped thousands of brokers to expand and diversify into different areas such as bridging and development finance, commercial mortgages, complex BTL, second-charge and specialist residential mortgages, securing funding for nearly 30,000 customers.

“We are looking ahead to what the next 10 years will bring and we can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
