GetGround, Voltaire Financial and Fleet expand teams

GetGround, Voltaire Financial and Fleet Mortgages have welcomed new members to their teams.

GetGround

GetGround has appointed Marco Grossi as VP of revenue.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving sales and marketing for the company as part of its growth trajectory.

Marco, who has significant expertise in the processes required to help tech businesses scale, joins GetGround from Stocard, a German digital wallet app, where he was VP of global sales.

Prior to this, he held senior roles at various companies, including Google and Facebook.

Commenting on his appointment, Marco said: “GetGround may be less than two years old, but the company is already being highly disruptive to a very traditional industry, making it just the sort of business I love to support.

“With its clear, customer-driven strategic approach and awesome collaborative team culture, GetGround stands to become the definitive marketplace that helps anyone to invest in hard-to-access assets.”

Moubin Faizullah Khan, co-Founder and CEO at GetGround, added: “Marco’s appointment is a huge win for GetGround and he is an important asset in our fast-growth strategy.

“Working closely with our data and product teams, Marco’s experience and perspective will help us ensure we have the best possible understanding of what GetGround present and future customers want, need and value while rolling out our extended product roadmap.”

This follows the appointment of Molly Levy and Mike Slovich, who joined as VPs of product and data, respectively.

Voltaire Financial

Voltaire Financial has appointed Chris Blowers as a partner.

Throughout his 40-year career, Chris held numerous senior positions at various companies, including RBS, AIM and Investec Private Bank.

He joins Voltaire Financial from Maslow Capital, which he co-founded in 2009 and where he worked as head of origination for 12 years.

“I’m really excited to be joining Voltaire as a partner and to continue building on the firm’s reputation for full service, integrity and hard work,” said Chris.

“The fragmented nature of the funding landscape at present has made the need for a debt/equity adviser paramount.

“My relationship with the business dates back over 10 years and the opportunity to work together to deliver value for clients, some of whom I have known for many years, is a compelling one.”

James Thomlinson, co-founder of Voltaire Financial, commented: “Chris is one of the best known and most highly respected real estate finance lenders in the UK commercial real estate marketplace.

“His track record in the residential and PBSA sectors is second to none and he has extensive experience in highly complex development situations.

“His relationships are with the leading developers, housebuilders, contractors and professionals in the market.

“The team at Voltaire is therefore thrilled to welcome him on board and looks forward to years of shared success to come.”

Fleet Mortgages

Fleet Mortgages has appointed Donna Johnson as a BDM for the North West.

Donna has over 15 years of experience working with advisers and lenders within the intermediary market, having previously held roles at One Family, Fluent Money, Santander, Alliance & Leicester and, most recently, Hodge.

Steve Cox, chief commercial officer at Fleet Mortgages, said: “As part of our commitment to our adviser partners we are always looking for quality BDMs who understand their local markets, have a wealth of intermediary-facing experience and a history of driving quality business.

“Donna undoubtedly fits the bill on these and many more of our requirements and she will already be well-known to the intermediary community in the North West via her work in a variety of roles.

“Having worked on both the lender and adviser sides of this industry, Donna fully understands the wants and needs of advisers and their clients and I’m sure all firms active in the BTL market in her region will find a dedicated and knowledgeable advocate in Donna.”
