CHL and OSBF welcome new team members

CHL Mortgages and One Stop Business Finance (OSBF) have made new additions to their specialist finance teams.

CHL Mortgages

CHL Mortgages has appointed Stephen Wrigley as a business development manager to cover the south west of England and Wales.

Stephen, who has over 20 years of experience working in the finance services sector, has held positions at various companies, including TSB Bank and, most recently, Precise Mortgages.

Ross Turrell, commercial director at CHL Mortgages, said: “Stephen joins us at an exciting time on our journey, bringing with him a wealth of experience, which means he is ideally placed to understand the ever-evolving needs of our intermediary partners and deliver the professionalism, insight and support which will make a real impact for both clients and to the intermediary.

“The specialist BTL market continues to generate a vast amount of interest from landlords who are looking to expand and diversify their portfolios.

“With competition heating up from a product perspective, and aligned with increased market complexity, the value of a good BDM has never been so important, and we are delighted to have secured someone of Stephen’s calibre.”

Stephen’s appointment follows CHL’s relaunch of its proposition with a select panel of distributors in May this year.

Since then, the lender has implemented a phased approach to growing its distribution channels to include numerous industry networks, mortgage clubs and intermediary brands.

OSBF

OSBF has appointed Emma Harris as a finance broker and operations manager.

In her role, she will work with SME clients to provide facilities for their funding needs through its panel of lenders, including commercial mortgages, hire purchase and invoice financing.

She will also work closely with OSBF’s operations director and its team of UK-wide business development managers to arrange funding for clients from its own lending book.

Emma, who has worked as an asset and commercial finance broker for the past six years, joins the company from Kingston Capital Finance.

Prior to entering the finance industry, Emma worked in a fast-paced international satellite broadcasting business where she was responsible for sales, marketing and managing an operations team.

Commenting on her appointment, Emma said: “All through my career, I’ve enjoyed working with businesses to understand their needs and how they function in order to provide the right solutions.

“This is why I am thrilled to be joining OSBF, as its friendly, personalised approach and dedication to building long-term relationships is, in my opinion, by far the best way to help clients and ensure we get the deals done.”

Andrew Mackenzie, managing director at One Stop Business Finance, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Emma to the team.

“Her sales, marketing and management experience and skills will add an important new dimension to the business, which I am sure will be of great value as we continue to grow our nationwide SME client base by being able to do the deals that the banks can’t do.

“We’ve always taken an alternative and entrepreneurial approach to meeting clients’ finance needs, in comparison to the major financial institutions, with flexibility at the heart of everything we do.

“Emma will be a perfect fit for the team, working alongside like-minded colleagues who share her commitment to doing the best for clients whatever their financial needs.”
