Positive Lending and Assetz bolster teams

Positive Lending and Assetz Capital have made new additions to their specialist finance teams.

Positive Lending

Positive Lending has hired five new members to continue its growth and expansion plans.

Andrew Marsland has been appointed as a regional account manager for the North and Midlands.

He has over 12 years of experience in the financial sector, having previously worked for a range of lenders, including Together, Evolution Money and Aldermore.

The lender has also appointed Georgia McGonigle, Gillian Langford and Blanca Pereira Rivera as underwriters, and Max Manning as a commercial mortgage assistant.

Paul McGonigle, chief executive at Positive Lending, said: “We’re really excited about the experience and knowledge that Andrew will bring to his role at Positive, the benefits to both the company and our clients will be huge.

“The addition of Andrew, Georgia, Gillian, Blanca and Max to the Positive family has already made an amazing impact, and we look forward to continued success with their help.”

Assetz Capital

Assetz Capital has appointed Adam Bluma as a relationship director for its bridging and intermediaries portfolio.

In his new role, he will support colleagues and brokers across the UK from his base in the North West.

Adam joins the company from NatWest, where he worked for 11 years in various roles, most recently as team leader for real estate finance.

“Assetz Capital’s ambition drew me to the business, and I’ve felt that ambition in abundance in my first few days with the company,” said Adam.

“I’m really looking forward to making an impact on the intermediary market with our real-world lending solutions and helping the team to achieve great results.”

Mark Standley, national commercial director at Assetz Capital, commented: “Adam fulfils a key role in our growing bridging team and shares in our growth ambitions, so we are delighted to welcome him to Assetz Capital.

“We are seeing a significant increase in short-term finance activity, so his appointment comes at a great time as we target £1bn of lending per annum across all our solutions.”

The appointment follows a wave of new hires in the lender’s bridging team this year, including the recruitment of Mehwish Mirza as senior relationship manager and Laleta Buctkuar as relationship director, and the promotion of Colin Mottram from senior relationship manager to relationship director.
