“Steve’s extensive knowledge of the business and industry mean there is no one better positioned to help us on the next stage of our exciting growth journey.

“Likewise, Rosie brings with her incredible experience and knowledge, and we know she will help us greatly in ensuring our members and their clients continue to receive the very best support and reassurance.”

Positive Lending

Positive Lending has promoted David Coleman to head of sales.

David joined the company as regional account manager for the South East in August 2017, having previously spent 20 years working in various sales, management and consultative roles in financial services.

In his new role, he will be supporting Positive Lending’s brokers and network contacts to deliver structured training programs at all levels, from induction to advanced adviser courses.

He will also be working closely with lender key decision makers to create a platform to support the specialist market and deliver opportunities to grow their market share in networks supported by the business.

Alongside this, David will be running the Positive Lending sales team to deliver face-to-face meetings for up to 3000 brokers per year and work towards achieving the company’s expansion targets.

“Being passionate about my job and our industry, I’m extremely excited to take on the role as head of sales at Positive Lending and I am really looking forward to developing my own team to further support our network and intermediary partners with the very best specialist lending support nationwide,” said David.

Paul McGonigle, chief executive at Positive Lending, added: “David joined Positive Lending four years ago and was known to the management team to be an individual that delivers results when he joined.

“What has impressed me the most is his tenacity to support our brokers, overachieve and think outside the box.

“Since the pandemic has hit, David has shown the mortgage intermediary market what I already knew — that he understands the market implicitly, will work tirelessly for our company and our brokers, is tenacious and a leader.

“I am delighted that David has been recognised with this promotion and I look forward to seeing him build his team and deliver more for Positive.”

LCP

LCP has appointed Ben Chislett as UK head of retail.

Ben joins the company from Savills, where he was retail director for nine years, advising both retailers and landlords on their acquisition and disposal strategies.

In his new role, he will oversee and manage the retail arm of all four LCP offices in the UK, which are located in London, Bristol, Glasgow and its headquarters in Pensnett, West Midlands.

The appointment comes after LCP invested more than £270m in retail assets in 2021.

Some of the firm’s key acquisitions from last year include the Woolshops Shopping Centre in Halifax, Waterbourne Walk Shopping Centre in Leighton Buzzard, and Eden Square in Manchester.

Commenting on his appointment, Ben said: “With so many property companies moving away from retail, it’s fantastic that LCP shares my vision and sees an exciting long-term future for retail assets in the UK.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the UK’s biggest and best retailer and landlord clients over the years and will be using the experience and skills that I have gained to successfully asset manage and grow the LCP retail portfolio.”

James Buchanan, managing director at LCP, added: “As we increasingly focus on retail acquisitions, this is an important, key senior appointment.

“Ben’s highly strategic approach in the retail sector, not to mention his first-class knowledge and connections, will ensure LCP will be known as one of the leading investors in retail assets in the country.

“We are pleased to have brought Ben over to LCP for this exciting chapter in the business’s history.

“We have exciting plans ahead, with £300m available to invest a year in retail assets, and Ben will undoubtedly play a key role as we forge ahead with our acquisitions over the coming years.”
