CHL and Fisher German bolster teams

CHL Mortgages and Fisher German have welcomed new members to their teams.

CHL Mortgages

CHL Mortgages has appointed Brian Sanford as a BDM for the East Midlands area.

Brian, who has over 35 years of experience working within the financial services sector, joins the company from Sesame Bankhall Group, where he was a regional sales manager.

Ross Turrell, commercial director at CHL Mortgages, said: “January has been a busy month, such is the continued demand being experienced across the specialist BTL market.

“The enthusiasm, dynamism and expertise of our BDM team is key to servicing this demand in the right way and in ensuring we are meeting the ever-changing needs of our distribution partners as best we possibly can.

“Brian knows the intermediary market inside and out; he will slot straight into our vastly experienced BDM team to help his broker base generate new and repeat business, while offering them the expertise and confidence to place their faith in the CHL brand.”

Fisher German

Fisher German has appointed Juliet Richardson as an associate director for its Bedford office.

Working across all aspects of general practice planning, Juliet has experience in the full cycle of development and planning, including local plan representations, development and site appraisals, planning applications and appeals.

Throughout her career, she has acted on behalf of a broad range of clients — such as landowners, developers and public bodies — and has gained considerable experience in working on new towns and urban extensions, including the new settlements of Cambourn, Northstowe and Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire.

She also has significant experience in negotiations of Section 106 agreements.

In addition to her role at Fisher German, Juliet also works for Planning Aid, where she supports charitable and voluntary organisations.

Commenting on her appointment, Juliet said: “Fisher German has a fantastic team in Bedford and I am very pleased to add my expertise to this.

“There’s real team spirit within the firm and the collaboration across its different specialisms is extremely strong.

“As well as continuing to grow the business in the Bedford area, I will be using my local knowledge to expand the business into the east of England.

“Planning is a discipline which is constantly changing and evolving, which makes it an extremely exciting area to work in.

“It will be interesting to see how the latest government planning reforms unfold, and how Covid will impact land use planning.

“There has also been an increase remote working, and we will soon begin to see if more people consider rural or lower density lifestyles over city centres.”

Liberty Stones, head of planning at Fisher German, commented: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Juliet to our growing planning team.

“She has a wealth of planning experience in both the public and private sectors, including the civil service.”
