The national mental health day aims to bring friends, families, communities, and workplaces together to talk, listen and change lives by simply starting a conversation.
As part of their commitment to raising awareness and improving mental health and wellbeing provision within the mortgage and finance sector, MIMHC will be participating in the initiative to spark meaningful interactions with their signatories.
Martin Reynolds, CEO at SimplyBiz Mortgages, said: “Having a safe space or process to be able to be open and talk is really important.
“Taking that first step can be very hard, but knowing that there are options is key.

- Mental health charter launches for finance industry
“We need to ensure that we embrace this not just on a once a year basis, but throughout the year.”
Andrew Montlake, managing director at Coreco, added: “It is so important that every business gives its people a chance to talk, to get things off their chest or simply just let them know that someone is there willing to listen.
“It is about creating a supportive community and embracing openness about mental health as part of your culture.”
This year, the organisation — which was established in 2021 by seven specialist finance firms — aims to reach over 200 signatories, and expand its services by creating dedicated access to mental health experts, launching exclusive webinars from wellbeing professionals and offering access to member discounts on mental health first aid training.
Businesses interested in learning more about MIMHC and how to sign up can find out more on the organisation’s website or by joining its group on LinkedIn.
