What will affect valuations this year and beyond?

Bridging & Commercial will be hosting its next virtual roundtable on 9th February, in partnership with VAS Group.

The interactive event will start at 10am and will be moderated by Medianett’s publishing director, Beth Fisher.

The topic will be: ‘What will affect valuations this year and beyond?’

VAS Group’s CCO and co-founder Stephen Todd, and managing director Daniel Owen-Parr will be joined by Colin Anderson, executive director at LDNFinance and Phil Gray, managing director at Watts Commercial Finance.

The panellist will share their views on the valuation trends seen in 2021 and where the market is heading this year, including which will be the biggest areas of opportunity in terms of location, sector and asset type.

They will also discuss what valuation misconceptions should be addresses, and what the biggest changes affecting valuations are currently.

Registration is open and free to attend by all professionals working in the sector.

The panel will be taking questions during the event and attendees are encouraged to get involved.

It will also be available to watch after 9th February on B&C.

Commenting ahead of the event, Stephen said: “The valuation process is integral to every lending decision and will often dictate whether an offer progresses, requires new lending terms or falls apart altogether.

“Many brokers feel this element is completely out of their hands, but nothing could be further from the truth.

“Our virtual roundtable will look at how brokers can take greater control, what steps they can take before the valuation process starts to the information they supply, then understand why a specific valuer is selected for their case and the reason for the cost and outcomes.

“We will also look at what will ultimately affect the valuations market in 2022 including key growth markets and changes to a valuers’ remit.”
