MAF Finance Group appoints business development director

MAF Finance Group (MAF) has appointed Mathew Stacey (pictured above) as a business development director.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing MAF's strategy in southern England and London to support both SMEs and larger businesses with their funding requirements.

Mathew joins the company from Barclays, where he spent 15 years working as a relationship director.

The appointment is part of MAF’s ongoing growth strategy following its acquisition by Begbies Traynor Group in 2021.

"I'm excited to be joining such a well-respected commercial finance brokerage and I'm very much looking forward to helping grow and develop businesses further by assisting SMEs in navigating the increasingly complex UK debt landscape,” said Mathew.

“I am relishing the opportunity to expand awareness of the MAF offering and its various specialist divisions to my network, so we can work together to help SMEs and deliver further growth across the UK.”

Dave Chapman, managing director at MAF, added: "Businesses are increasingly looking at their funding strategies for growth as we continue to emerge from the pandemic, and we're looking forward to extending our offer to support more businesses with a range of finance solutions across the region.”
