Whitehall Capital bolsters team to support its growth strategy

Whitehall Capital has appointed Naseer Ahmed as commercial director and Steven Kelly as vice president to support its growth strategy.

The specialist lender aims to double its bridging finance book by the end of this year, following its recent success, which saw it lend close to £50m over the past six months.

Naseer, who has 15 years of experience in the industry, joins Whitehall Capital from BridgeHelp, where he was head of sales.

In his new role as commercial director, he will focus on expanding the lender's network of brokers and developers.

Meanwhile, Steven, who joins the company from NatWest, will be responsible for strengthening the bridging finance division.

Commenting on his appointment, Naseer said: “I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge and helping Whitehall Capital reach the ambitious goal of doubling its books.

“I’m confident my skills and network will help the fund meet its targets.”

Steven added: “It’s an exciting time to join Whitehall Capital; over the past years, it has proved its resilience to the world, and it is fast becoming the dark horse of the industry.

“I’m looking forward to becoming a part of journey, helping to drive Whitehall Capital to the next level.”

Anthony Bodenstein, founder and managing director at Whitehall Capital, stated: “We’re delighted to welcome Naseer and Steven to the company.

“We’re confident that they will add great value, as we look to expand our bridging business and truly become the specialist lender of choice for investors.

“We have the ambition, we have the investment and we have the right people; together, we’re looking forward to doubling our books over the next year, providing clients with even more opportunities and services.”
