Paragon Bank bolsters SME lending team

The SME lending division of Paragon Bank has expanded its sales team by appointing four new BDMs and promoting two members to business development executives.

The new BDMs include Jamie Thompson and Craig Nel, who will work as part of the transport team, Gulshan Khan, who will be part of the broker team, and Wayne Hall, who will help the regional team for the South.

Jamie joins the company from Huxley Corporate Finance, while Craig has previously worked at Deutsche Leasing and BNP.

Meanwhile, Gulshan and Wayne join Paragon from Dawsongroup Finance and Shire Leasing, respectively.

In addition, the lender has promoted Jake Harfield and Lauren Cargill as business development executives, after both working for the bank since 2017.

Ken McKeating, sales director at Paragon SME Lending, said: “These new recruits are a sign of intent from Paragon; we are keen to grow our lending activity and to support our direct customers and brokers even further.

“We look forward to the recent additions to our team getting out into the market and helping to deliver on our growth strategy.”
