The law firms made the announcement yesterday (17th May) through a joint statement.
According to Steven, the end of merger discussions will allow the firm to refocus on its core growth strategy.
He revealed that the company plans to rebrand, make new hires at all levels, change premises, and adopt new technology.

“While the merger presented an interesting opportunity, it was certainly not key to the continued growth of Lawrence Stephens,” said Steven.
“The termination of these discussions will allow us to continue to focus on our clients, our people, and the strength, agility, and inherent values of the firm.
“We have expanded significantly over the past few years and continue to seek growth opportunities,” he stated, explaining that this was necessary to meet the demands of its expanding client base.
“We look forward to rolling out our extensive rebrand, which will elevate what we do best, and showcase our service offering, along with the fantastic people that work at the firm.”
