ThinCats grows Midlands team with new director

ThinCats has announced that Richard Newman (pictured above) has been appointed as senior director of transaction management.

The qualified chartered accountant joins from HSBC, and has over 20 years of corporate finance experience, including holding senior roles at RBS and KBC Peel Hunt.

Leading the Midlands transaction management team, Richard will report to Peter Talbot, head of transaction management.

The lender’s West Midlands team has been growing rapidly of late, with Neil Taylor starting as director of transaction management in June, and Tom Horton joining as director of business development in May.

“From working with businesses across the Midlands for more than 20 years, I’m delighted to be supporting mid-sized, high-growth businesses that have been somewhat overlooked by traditional lenders,” said Richard.

“I look forward to working with Peter, Neil and the rest of the ThinCats team.”

Peter also expressed his excitement at the growing Midlands team, adding: “The West Midlands makes an important contribution to the UK economy, so it’s critical that businesses in the region can access the necessary funding to invest in their futures.

“As ThinCats continues to attract more borrowers, it’s exciting to have Richard, Neil and Tom all on board now so that advisers and businesses can benefit from their collective experience.”
