Bridging & Commercial have received confirmation of a recent move within the bridging world, following hot on the heels of our coverage on the topic of BDM migration.
Gareth Lewis, Business Development Manager at short term lender Tiuta plc, has departed from the company after joining in May this year. Gareth previously held the role of BDM at bridging lender Cheval for seven years before joining Tiuta plc.
Chief Executive of Tiuta plc, Steven Nicholas commented: “It’s always sad to see a valued member of the Tiuta team leave and we wish Gareth all the best in his new role.
“From our point of view, we have no plans to employ an immediate replacement as we have a very strong business development team already in place who fulfils that role, notably Kirsty Buchanan who has flourished at Tiuta since she joined as Business Development Manager in May this year.”
He added: “We have experienced record business levels at Tiuta throughout the summer months and we are looking at a record amount of enquiries already in September. Our focus, as always, is on delivering a quality service and ensuring our brokers and introducers have everything they need in order to complete business with us.
“The Tiuta brand and the relationships we have in place are not dependent on one person – the fact that we are the only bridging lender to be one of the Top 30 lenders in the UK is proof of that. Tiuta remain wholly focused on the bridging market and we have no doubts that the quality of our proposition and the strong service we provide means our broker and introducer contacts continue to make Tiuta, and our business development team, their first port of call.”
In response, Gareth commented: “I have really enjoyed my time with Tiuta and would like to wish Steve and the team all the best. I'm in no doubt that they will continue to make big strides forward in the short term market”.
There are whispers within the bridging community that Gareth’s direction is due north, precisely where, we cannot say.
