In his new role, he will be supporting brokers across the Midlands, north west of England, and Scotland, as well as increasing awareness of the bank’s regulated and unregulated bridging, and refurbishment propositions.
He will work closely and report to Paul Delmonte, UTB’s key account manager for bridging.
Michael brings over 10 years of experience in finance to the role, gained throughout his previous roles in sales and credit functions at various companies, including Together, Ford Credit Europe and, most recently, EstateGuru Marketplace.
The appointment follows a record-breaking year for UTB’s bridging division, with originations increasing by 33% year-on-year and a significant uplift in the volume of unregulated bridging transacted by the bank.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael said: “UTB has a great reputation in the bridging market both for the way it does business and the culture it encourages.
“I also believe that there is a significant opportunity to develop its share of the unregulated bridging sector and its presence among brokers in the Midlands, north of England and Scotland.
“I’m looking forward to working with Paul and the rest of the team in helping the bank achieve its impressive growth ambitions.”
Paul added: “Michael has joined UTB at a very exciting time, with demand for our products and service growing by the day.
“The Midlands and North West areas are seeing considerable growth and regeneration and there’s an excellent opportunity for UTB to build new relationships with the many experienced brokers operating across the regions, as well as further develop our existing contacts by helping them to grow their businesses and ours.”
