The competition, which is free to join, was launched by Dragonfly Property Finance in association with Bridging & Commercial. Dragonfly, the London-based specialist short and medium-term lender, is providing each Manager of the Month, from September through to April, with the prize of an Apple TV, while the Overall Manager at the end of May next year will win the latest version of the iPad.
With 84 league members so far, competition has been tight at the top of the league, with nine teams within 20 points of each other. The winner of the 1st Manager of the Month competition is Stuart Lavin.
Mark Posniak, Head of Marketing & Operations at Dragonfly Finance, stated: "Congratulations to Stuart Lavin, whose team Toilet FC registered a total of 372 points for August and September in the Dragonfly/B&C Fantasy Football league. Toilet FC pipped Rob Graham's imaginatively named “RG FC” past the post and flushed the rest of the teams straight down the pan."
Man Utd, with Rooney, Nani, Young and Jones have looked particularly strong this season. For Man City, Dzeko found his feet at the start and Aguero has adapted to English football very quickly, and with the creativity of Silva and Nasri, they will surely be up there come the end of the season.
