OSB Group selects Depaul as new charity partner

OSB Group has revealed Depaul UK as its new charity partner for the next two years.

The youth homelessness charity, which has been operating for over 30 years, offer a wide range of support, including emergency accommodation, longer-term housing, family mediation, education, training and employment opportunities.

The organisation also carries out prevention work in schools to prevent homelessness and help young people safely navigate future challenges and give them the best possible start in life.

OSB Group’s partnership with Depaul UK will see the specialist lender put together a calendar of events, fundraisers and volunteering opportunities for all colleagues to get involved.

The group will also double the hours of volunteering available for its team members.

Andy Golding, CEO at OSB Group (pictured above) said: “I'm very pleased that we've been able to find a charity that's on a mission to end homelessness for younger people, or those at risk of becoming homeless.

“Our colleagues have voted and shown that supporting younger people and helping to combat homelessness is close to all of our hearts here at OSB Group.”

Mike Thiedke, CEO at Depaul UK, added: "We are delighted to be chosen as OSB Group's next charity partner and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us.

“The group’s support will have a huge impact on the lives of young people currently facing, or at the risk of homelessness.

“Through our partnership with OSB Group, we can continue to develop our services, with a plan to reach even more young people, supporting them in their journeys towards a healthy, independent future away from the dangers of homelessness.

“We are really looking forward to what we can achieve together over the course of the next two years."

The new partnership follows the conclusion of OSB Group's support for CALM from 2020 to the end of 2022.

During this time, the firm donated over £170,000 to the suicide prevention charity, which has helped them to cover 21,338 calls to the helpline, run national campaigns and provide life-saving support to those in crisis.
