Alan Margolis, associate director at Greymax; and Gavin Seaholme, director at Shawbrook Bank, were elected by members of the association which saw a record number of candidates and votes.

Ray Cohen, owner at Jackson Cohen, has been re-elected as an associate member of the board.

The new members of the ASTL board — who will be taking up their new roles today (1st September) — replace Scott Marshall, founder and managing director of Roma Finance; and Steve Barber, managing owner at Bridging Finance Solutions, who retire from their executive duties for the association, having served their maximum terms.

Vic Jannels, CEO at the ASTL commented: “I would like, on behalf of the executives and the ASTL, to say a heartfelt thanks for the magnificent contribution that Gavin and Alan have made, not the least of which being their immense support of the educational programme CPSP.

“I would also like to congratulate Gavin and Alan on their election to the board, and Ray for his re-election.

“We have achieved a lot with the association in the past year, but there is plenty still to do in promoting the interests of the short-term mortgage market and our customers.

“I know that Gavin and Alan will be valuable additions to the board and will play an important role in helping us to continue to raise the profile and the reputation of the sector.”
