Nicholas Christofi to leave Sirius as Brightstar reacquires firm's shareholding

Sirius Property Finance has returned to being a wholly owned subsidiary of Brightstar Financial, after the group bought back the shareholding of Sirius’ co-founder and former managing director, Nicholas Christofi (pictured above).

Following the arrangement, Nicholas and Leoni Alexandrou, Sirius’ former head of operations and minority shareholder, will leave the company.

The two will be starting a new real estate debt advisory business called Karis Capital along with other personnel as part of pre-planned and agreed agreement.

Nicholas, who is the CEO of Karis Capital, announced his new venture today (8th November) on LinkedIn — according to the business' LinkedIn profile, Karis Capital will offer services for various types of specialist finance, including development funding, short-term lending, and commercial and HWN mortgages.

Rob Jupp, group CEO at Brightstar Group, said: “I would like to express my thanks to Nick, Leoni and the team members who leave Sirius to join in Nick’s next business venture for all their efforts since joining the business.

“We are proud of the entire team at Sirius Property Finance and look forward to seeing the growth and success of the business continue over the months and years ahead.”

Nicholas commented: “I would like to thank Rob and the team for all their combined efforts in supporting the success and development of Sirius since I first joined back in 2016.

“I am looking forward to beginning an exciting new venture outside of the Brightstar Group.”

The new management team is already in place at Sirius and further details will be confirmed in due course.
