We can today announce the second winner of the Manager of the Month competition, exclusive for brokers, within the Fantasy Football Premier League, the largest fantasy football game in the world.

The competition, which is free to join, was launched by Dragonfly Property Finance in association with Bridging & Commercial. Dragonfly, the London-based specialist short and medium-term lender, is providing each Manager of the Month, from September through to April, with the prize of an Apple TV, while the Overall Manager at the end of May next year will win the latest version of the iPad.

Competition at the top of the league has been even tighter this month with October’s winner only clinching the prize as a result of points gained in the very last game of the month. The winner of October’s Manager of the Month competition is Steve Avery.

Mark Posniak, Head of Marketing & Operations at Dragonfly Finance, stated: “Congratulations to Steve Avery, whose team, Hammerkey, registered a total of 239 points for October in the Dragonfly/B&C Fantasy Football league. Hammerkey pipped our very own Claire Dunning’s team, aptly named “Dunning’s Darlings”, closely followed by Dragonfly Credit Manager Graham Macaulay’s “Berko Cosmos”.

Arsenal’s Van Persie was the pick of the players in October, with 7 goals and 1 assist in October (amassing 44 points). Tottenham’s Van der Vaart scored in every game in October, with 5 goals (43 points). Newcastle’s Ba netted 5 goals (34 points), Swansea’s Graham racked up 4 goals and 1 assist (30 points), Sinclair scored twice and assisted once (25 points), Man City’s Balotelli also scored 4 goals (25 points), Silva (24 points) and Chelsea’s Mata (22 points) each scored 1 goal and made 3 assists, Arsenal’s Gervinho scored 1 and made 4 assists and Sunderland’s Sessegnon finished the month strongly (29 points).
