Mike spent 35 years with Lloyds Banking Group, during this time, he worked in various roles, namely spending the last 10 years prior to retirement in 2020 as managing director for intermediaries and specialist brands.
He also continues to serve as chair of the supervisory board of Lloyds Bank GmbH, Lloyds Retail Bank in Germany and The Netherlands since early 2019.
Mike has served as an Independent non-executive director at MAB for more than three years, and has now succeeded Katherine Innes Ker, who stepped down as chair in May after nearly 10 years in the position.

Commenting on his appointment, Mike said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as non-executive chairman at a time of continued growth and success for the business.
