Octane hires new BDM for the North

Octane has appointed Lewis Whittaker (pictured above, left), as BDM for the North of the country.

Lewis joins the lender after spending three years as a BDM at Lowry Capital.

His appointment is part of Octane’s focus on driving regional flow and marks the firm’s fifth appointment to its sales team in the last two years, growing its number of field-based BDMs to nine.

In terms of its targets, Octane is aiming to reach £2bn in lending by Q2 of this year while doubling its loan book over the next few years.

Commenting on his appointment, Lewis said, “I am delighted to have joined Octane and to be working with such a highly regarded team.

“I look forward to further building strong relationships with brokers and supporting them in achieving best outcomes for their clients.”

Jonathan Samuels, CEO at Octane (pictured above, right), added, “We are delighted to welcome someone of Lewis’ calibre to the team.

“Over the last two years we have completed a significant number of deals in the north of the country — particularly in the midlands and the North West.

“Lewis is now the second member of the sales team permanently based in these areas and will allow us to ensure our brokers have a local point of contact.

“Lewis brings a wealth of experience in short-term finance and I’m sure he’ll be a big asset to the team.”
