The former England and Leicester Tigers player has been appointed to enhance MSP’s performance over the next five years, through his consultancy firm, Wingman.

Playing for England, Rory scored 49 tries in 85 games between 1984 and 1996, he also accumulated six caps for the British and Irish Lions on their 1989 and 1993 tours and billed 134 tries in 236 games for Leicester Tigers.

Off the rugby pitch he undertook 18 years of service as a jet pilot in the RAF.

He went on to found his consultancy firm, Wingman in 2009.

MSP Capital’s senior leadership team began working with Rory in December 2024, across six one-day workshops to develop the company’s growth strategy.

They were then complemented by three all-employee workshops he has led in which 49 colleagues discussed, challenged and strengthened the vision.

Through planning, aided by guidance from Rory, the firm has now developed an overall goal to grow the firm’s loan book to £750m by 2030.
