Alex Townley (pictured above, right), has been appointed as the firm’s head of portfolio management, following a tenure as property development manager — he has over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, and joined Goldentree in 2019.
In his new role, Alex will oversee the firm’s loan book, currently valued at £110m, and lead a team of eight, including property development managers and administration managers.

Goldentree has also promoted Gayle Taylor (pictured above, centre) to recoveries director, she has managed the property development managers as head of portfolio management for the previous 10 years.
Gayle has over 38 years’ experience in various sectors of banking and a track record in dealing with clients to achieve successful repayment of facilities.
The firm has also appointed Sam Oldfield (pictured above, left) as a property development manager.
Commenting on his promotion to head of portfolio management, Alex said: “I’m really looking forward to taking on this new role. It will give me a great opportunity to strengthen my underwriting and management skills.
“I have a fantastic team supporting me in this transition and I cannot wait to bring some positive changes to the business.”
