Stuart Dunk (pictured above) and Sonny Gohel have joined the company’s senior team.

Stuart joined the lender earlier this year as finance and treasury director, having spent six years at US-based private equity-backed and technology data company Stats Perform as group financial controller.

As a qualified accountant at Deloitte, his experience managing banking, finance, treasury, and investor relationships is set to be instrumental in Morpheus’ growth.

"Having known Matt [Mawdesley, CEO and founder of Morpheus] since we were teenagers, and then involved in the Morpheus journey since inception, I was thoroughly excited to join the team officially in March,” said Stuart.

“The business is truly pushing a new way to do specialist lending and I’m here to continue supporting Matt and the board on this journey.”

Sonny, who has a law degree and a background in the legal profession, joins Morpheus as head of operations, with more than a decade of experience in the specialist lending space.

He has worked at Aspen Bridging and, more recently, KHK Capital, where he was responsible for managing a team of underwriters and their end-to-end portfolio management functions across development and bridging loans. 

“I was immediately drawn to [Morpheus’] technology and innovation-first approach to the sector, which is typically unheard of,” stated Sonny.

“Also, working alongside such a credible and experienced team and board, as well as being involved from such an early stage of its growth journey, meant it was an opportunity I could not miss.”
