Rob's Blog: The week that was

.

The last seven days have been and gone in a blink! I honestly can’t think of a time when I’ve been busier professionally so much so that my three days in Marbella were spent mostly on the phone and not around the pool, which I guess in March is probably not such a bad thing.

I’m getting some really great service at the moment from the likes of Dragonfly Property Finance, West One Loans, Masthaven Bridging Finance, United Trust Bank and Lancashire Mortgage Corporation. I can’t believe how much the short term financing market has improved in the past 12 months and I think its biggest driver has been the wealth of competition and long may that continue.

My only real grumble this week is with solicitors. I know we need them and they do a great job but please can I ask the legal brethren to treat us as a useful tool that can provide assistance in getting transactions completed quicker and not the devil incarnate. We don’t care just about our commission and most of us have a desire to see our client complete in a satisfactory and timely manner.

Many congratulations to one of my two right hand men, Kit Thompson, who is set to be a Dad again to the lovely Leanne. This is our first Brightstar Baby and I’m sure we will wet the baby’s head in style when he or she emerges at the start of October.
