FBI Investigates Fallen Firms

FBI Investigates Fallen Firms

.

Four financial giants at the centre of the U.S. mortgage maelstrom, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Lehman Brothers and the American International Group are being investigated by the FBI. It is thought that the institutions responsible for a proposed $700billion government bailout plan are at the heart of an enquiry into mortgage fraud.

These companies are the latest to be added to the FBI hit-list, made up of a wide range of companies spanning the American financial services industry. It seems that the Bureau are hungry for someone to blame for the most dramatic global financial meltdown of recent times. Whatever the findings of the investigation, it is sure that in light of the proposed $700billion bailout and resulting deficit, fiscal heads will roll.
