Three new staff appointments have been made by one bridging lender looking to further build on its broker-centric proposition.

Specialist short term lender Omni Capital has announced that three new roles in underwriting, sales support and finance have been filled. The staff will be based at the lender’s Operations Centre in Watford, Herts.

Colin Sanders, Chief Executive Officer of Omni Capital, said: “Since successfully re-launching our lending offering in September 2011, we have enjoyed steady, incremental growth in the business. As we grow our numbers, so will we the team. But it’s important to recruit – and retain – the right calibre of person.”

Maria Curatolo has been appointed to the position of Underwriting Case Manager. Reporting to Omni Capital’s Head of Underwriting, Ed McAra, she is responsible for the efficient preparation and management of pending loan applications.

Having previously worked at Barclays Wealth International in the International Mortgage division, Maria also held senior underwriting positions at Abbey for Intermediaries.

Nicky Pack joins Omni Capital as Senior Office Administrator. Her dual responsibilities in this newly-created role comprise hands-on support for the lender’s broker-facing sales team, and all aspects of post-completion portfolio management.

Nicky comes from City-based Octopus Investments. Beginning her career at a mortgage brokerage, she has over ten years’ experience in financial services as a senior underwriter with lenders igroup, GE Money Home Lending and Money Partners.

Angela Bowder has been appointed to the new infrastructure role of Finance Officer in which she has key responsibility for the smooth management of the company’s internal accounting and finance systems, including payment of intermediary commissions and fees.

A finance specialist by training and experience, Angela has held a range of accounting positions at a variety of organisations – from utilities and health practices, to privately-owned commercial businesses.

Colin added: “Maria, Nicky and Angela fit the bill perfectly. I’m delighted they’ve chosen Omni as their next career steps, and look forward to working closely with each of them as we take the company forward to its next phase of expansion.”
