Shawbrook Bank’s commercial mortgage division has been boosted by the promotion of Terry Woodley to Head of Specialist Lending.
Terry Woodley, who joined Shawbrook in September 2011 as a Credit Risk Manager, will be managing a specialist team focusing on underwriting large loans in the £500,000 to £10 million residential and commercial property sectors. His role will also involve a close working relationship with the Bank’s network of introducers to ensure Shawbrook is constantly improving its service to intermediaries and clients.
Terry said: “I have already experienced how, as a young and growing bank not constrained by bureaucracy, Shawbrook has been able to constantly evolve with the changing market and appetite of its clients. This has been exciting to be a part of and I look forward to playing a new role in its continued growth and success.”
Prior to Shawbrook, Terry worked for six years as a Business Partner at Clydesdale Bank, where he helped to set up a new financial solutions office in Knightsbridge, London. He was responsible for both corporate and commercial clients and generated an asset book of approximately £100 million in the property investment, development and trading business sectors. Before Clydesdale Bank, Terry spent eight years at NatWest in the bank’s commercial sector.
Stephen Johnson, Managing Director of Shawbrook Commercial Mortgages, commented: “The creation of a specialist team enables Shawbrook to develop a bespoke service for the larger loan market.
“We believe it will add considerable value to our intermediary partners and complement our core business which continues to go from strength to strength.”
