Five credit card scammers, who used stolen cash to fund an extravagant lifestyle of world travel and excess, have been apprehended and are facing jail.
Three brothers, Hudaifa, Talal and Marwan Tawfiq, along with Ahmed Charmaga, and Ali Hamid, all from the Middle East, are thought to have pilfered up to £600,000 by skimming cards and then cloning them at a ‘factory’ at Waterloo Station.
Police said that the money they made was used in “supporting an extravagant lifestyle.”
The gang have admitted fraud and were all denied bail at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday.
