Expo reveals “incredible opportunities” for bridger

.

Affirmative Finance have claimed that this year’s mortgage expo, held last week at Earl's Court was their “most successful yet”.

Roger Morris from Affirmative Finance stated: “We have had so many networks wanting to have formal meetings with the directors of Affirmative, to structure and formalize their relationships and to ensure that they can maximize any income stream moving forward. They have seen a huge growth in income from our sector and did not want to be left out in the cold and missing the opportunities moving forward.”

Mr Morris spoke of the wealth of opportunities that bridging finance offers to brokers. “Bridging is a niche market, I’ve seen six brokers in the last few days who have all said that they ‘didn’t do’ bridging, as in the past there’s been a misrepresentation of the sector. No one’s ever gone on the offensive to re-educate brokers that the old misconceptions of bridging are dead, short term funding solutions are now an important part of the market.”

Managing director, Eugene Esterkin said: “We have always held an open door policy to lending and there have never been any secrets, I don’t need to ask anyone else if I can complete this deal, as it’s our own funding. But with that comes responsibility, as we want to be here for the long term. The expo was the perfect chance and environment to interact with our customers, we were able to use the experience as a spring board for a series of national meetings to bring our message to our customers, on what we require and expect from a deal in the current climate. This will allow us to help and support them through these tough times.”

Commenting on the current market problems, Roger Morris said it was important for brokers to “step back, evaluate available products and find what people are after.” Encouraging those in the industry to maintain perspective and stay positive he advised that “no one knows when the good times will return, and the problem will still be there tomorrow, but maybe the mindset will be different. If there’s a question, there’s always an answer.”
