How to escape the squeeze, by broker firm

.

London-based wealth management firm, Route Group, has found that the best way to stay afloat in the economic storm is through acting as a broker for private bridging finance.

Although the high end of the property market is beginning to feel the heat, with luxury homes being repossessed and prime property in the capital dropping in value by 11.5% over the past quarter, wealthy clients are using short term finance to fund deals that have been made impossible by bank lending cuts.

As investors shy away from the volatile stockmarket, property development deals are becoming this season’s must have investment.

Property consultant of Route, Richard Roberts, commented: “Once you start looking, lots of short term projects are coming up. This type of thing is becoming more commonplace.” Believing that the market will pick up in the new year when the lucky professionals who have held on to their bonuses will be seeking bargains, he said: “there will be big opportunities for people to snap up property from distressed sellers – people will be looking to buy with big discounts.”
