Shawbrook’s Commercial Mortgages business launched its Strategic Partner programme back in September last year, in an effort to reward loyal brokers with exclusive marketing benefits.
The panel’s latest additions, which started with 18 brokers, are: Boudicca, Buchler Barnett Spencer, Outside the Box, and The Buy to Let Business.
The announcement coincides with what will be the first anniversary for the programme, which aims to measure Strategic Partners on the level of conversion rates achieved on initial submissions and ultimate conversion to successful loan completion.
Commenting on the news, Karen Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director, Commercial Mortgages at Shawbrook Bank, said: “We are really proud to see that our Strategic Partner programme has gone from strength to strength since its launch a year ago.
“The programme is an increasingly valuable part of our model at Shawbrook. Because we only lend through intermediaries, the channel is right at the centre of everything we do. This model allows us to operate with huge efficiency. We rely on our brokers to use their expertise and understanding of each client to package a thorough application, resulting in a fast turnaround and greater volumes of business completed.
“Clearly, the model is working. In our second year results, we grew our Commercial Mortgages division by 437% - which would simply not have been possible without the close working relationships we have developed with our network of brokers”.
Commenting on his appointment to the Strategic Partner panel, Ying Tan at The Buy to Let Business said: “We think Shawbrook’s Strategic Partner programme is a fantastic initiative, so we’re thrilled to now be a part of it.
“The most exciting banks at this time are working more and more closely with intermediaries, and developing these relationships – we think – is key to the continued growth of the market.
“On top of this, Shawbrook shares the same sense of creativity and innovation that we put at the heart of our business. This common spirit of entrepreneurship makes the new partnership even more exciting.”
