Goldentree Financial Services moved into new premises over the weekend after spending three years at previous Benson Road offices.

The Warrington-based lender and twelve members of staff have moved into Birchwood One Business Park, with a number of plans to expand the business over the coming months.

Steve Marsh, Managing Director of Goldentree Financial Services, told B&C: “We have a number of plans to expand the business in the pipeline, with announcements to come out over the next few months.

“Business is growing and as a principal lender with private money we have wide discretion, flexibility and take a commercial view in many cases.”

The business was established in 2001 and the principal shareholder is Fred Done of Betfred. Sixty-five per cent of the lender’s business is currently involved in development finance, with the remaining 35 per cent in bridging finance.

Although Steve didn’t divulge any further information with the future plans at this stage, he did tell B&C that with the government’s Help to Buy scheme expanding over the next two years, “It’s a space which we’re keeping a very close eye on with a view to having more firepower in areas up and down the UK.”
