Ultimate Capital, based in Chessington, has appointed Mike Shearn as its new Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Mike, who now leads the operation, had previously held a variety of high profile corporate roles at NatWest, Johnson & Johnson, and Hutchison Whampoa, before launching upmarket residential developer Porchester Homes in 2003.

Ultimate Capital, a relatively new lender, provides mezzanine, development and bridging finance from £100,000 to £1,000,000 – on terms of 6 to 18 months.

Speaking on his appointment, Mike Shearn, the new Chief Operating Officer at Ultimate Capital, said: “This is a very exciting time for the industry and for Ultimate in particular. We have an incredibly strong balance sheet and we are willing and very able to lend.

“We will build upon this foundation and continue to innovate our product and service offerings, which are all designed to exceed our clients' and introducers' expectations and to go that extra mile."

Mark Holden, Ultimate Capital's Chairman, said: "I am very excited that Mike is joining the growing management team. He is uniquely placed to drive our business forward.

“With 10 years City experience and more recently with significant Main Board PLC experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and commercial acumen to add to the board’s strength of over a century of property experience.”
